Profile

Professor Bayone worked for more than 20 years at FleetBoston Financial and its predecessor institution, BankBoston, in various senior capacities including Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, responsible for U.S. and international lending.

Ed serves as Advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors of Churchill Financial LLC, a commercial finance company formed primarily by Irving Place Capital (formerly, Bear Stearns Merchant Banking) to provide debt financing to middle market companies. From 2006 to June 2009, Ed chaired the Risk Committee of the Board and served on the Audit Committee.

Ed serves on the Board of Directors of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston, and on the Finance Committee of Hebrew SeniorLife (acute and long-term care, independent and assisted-living facilities, geriatric research).

In addition, Ed consults for corporate clients, providing various services including financial analysis, due diligence, business valuation, and debt restructuring/renegotiation.

Ed holds an M.I.A from Columbia University where he specialized in banking and finance, an M.A. degree in History from the University of Rochester, and a B.A. from Queens College.

Ed serves as director of the Undergraduate Business Program. Ed also chairs the IBS curriculum committee and is responsible for hiring and advising the school's adjunct faculty.

He was voted "Teacher of the Year" by IBS students in 2002, 2004, and 2005.
