The faculty positions below are currently open at the International Business School and the Economics Department of the University.

International Business School

  • Adjunct Faculty Pool - applications invited for positions in main areas of teaching: business, economics and finance, with emphasis on international issues and quantitative tools.

  • Finance - actively engaged in scholarship and have a record of excellence in research and teaching. Creativity in course development and effectiveness in teaching will be valued highly, as will experience in academic leadership.

  • International Business - actively engaged in scholarship and have a good understanding of practical challenges facing managers. Creativity in course development and excellence in teaching are crucial attributes; experience in academic leadership and administration is highly valued.

Economics Department

The Economics Department at Brandeis University seeks to fill three faculty positions for fall 2008. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled, with priority given to applications received by November 15, 2007.

  • Assistant Professor, Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics - one tenure-track position. Applicants welcomed with research interests in applied macroeconomic fields including but not limited to growth, business cycle analysis, money and banking, time series analysis, and international economics.

  • Susan and Barton Winokur Chair in Economics and Women's and Gender Studies - an established scholar whose research and teaching will support the missions of both programs and whose accomplishments are consistent with an appointment at the tenured associate or full professor level. Applicants welcomed with expertise in areas including but not limited to economic development, labor economics, demography, economics of discrimination, and economics of the family.

  • Senior Lecturer, Undergraduate Teaching and Advising - full-time, renewable non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of senior lecturer for undergraduate teaching and advising. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in economics and evidence of at least three years of successful full-time undergraduate teaching in courses such as principles of economics, intermediate microeconomics, intermediate macroeconomics, statistics for economics, and econometrics.
