Green career opportunities abound. These include jobs in a wide range of new industries—from environmental consulting, to green product design, to clean technologies, such as solar and wind energy, as well as jobs in the public sector and traditional industries – such as engineering and real estate – that are increasingly focused on issues of sustainability.
To support students and alumni pursuing careers in corporate sustainability, the Global Green Initiative works in conjunction with IBS Career Services by hosting job fairs, networking events and other recruiting activities.

Founded in 2009, SOE SOE (Shade One Environment / Save Our Earth) Green, LLC is a local company in Newton, Massachusetts, that has developed a shading device for homes and businesses to reduce carbon footprints. In the course "Managing Technology Businesses", offered by IBS Assistant Professor Preeta Banerjee, a group of her students will help the company develop a market strategy and explore various scales of production and distribution that will impact product costs. Visit the company’s website at www.soesoegreen.com to view a short film or for more information.
