"I am very excited to join NEIBC's board to help further its mission of strengthening bonds between local and Israeli companies," said Magid, who serves as the Martin and Ahuva Gross Chair in Financial Markets and Institutions at Brandeis IBS. "My involvement with NEIBC reflects our school's commitment to building bridges and creating an academic atmosphere characterized by cooperation and collaboration."
Magid and Brandeis IBS both have strong ties to NEIBC. Over the past four years the school has hosted NEIBC's annual business summit, which brings together leaders in government, business and innovative industries from both Israel and the greater New England region. This past fall's Data Storage & Security Summit featured Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and EMC Corporation President and COO Pat Gelsinger.
Magid brings extensive expertise in international trade and finance, including on-the-ground experience in Israel where he served on the official delegation of Gov. Patrick's trade mission to the country in March. He also served on Gov. Patrick's trade mission to Brazil in December.
