Kimi Ceridon is the Founder and Lead Sustainability Engineer for Kalepa Tech LLC.  Kalepa Tech is a product development firm dedicated to engineering and design for a better world by applying engineering and design principles to developing technologies in three core areas.

  • Ecologically Sustainable Product Design - By applying the principles of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) to the early stages of product development and engineering, Kalepa Tech designs to minimize ecological impacts by deploying more sustainable products, equipment and engineering tools. 
  • Clean Energy and Technology Development - Kalepa Tech applies a broad range of technical and design experience to to developing the world's next groundbreaking clean technologies in energy, generation, smart grid, industrial applications and development.
  • Technology for the developing world - By applying a systematic product development process and our large range of engineering skills to the development of appropriate technology, Kalepa Tech develops products specifically for developing world applications to address the UN''s Millennium Goals.

Prior to founding Kalepa Tech, Kimi worked for various technology development companies including Teledyne, Boeing, Schlumberger and Cooper Perkins.  As such, she is involved in every aspect of the product development process from concept through design and into manufacturing. She volunteers and travels internationally with teams working on international development through the MIT IDEAS Competition, Development Lab, MIT 100K Competition, TiE Boston and Sloan's Product Development Course.  She is a periodic guest lecturer at MIT and the Sloan School of Management and a professional mentor to several award winning teams. She holds a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and is currently working towards a Master's in Environmental Management from Harvard.
