On Thursday, October 29, IBS and the Hiatt Career Center are presenting Dan Lustig, BA/MA '02/03 in Lee Hall
1:30-3:30: Overview of Wall Street jobs and how you get them - although his own focus in on banking & private equity, Dan will also cover all function as at a typical Wall Street Firm
4:00-5:30: Selected case studies
Dan is Vice President of a team responsible for the underwriting and diligence of acquisitions and capital transactions for SR Capital, LLC, a real estate private equity firm based in New York City. Previously, he was an analyst at Broadway Partners, a private investment firm responsible for commercial office acquisitions exceeding 17 million square feet. Prior thereto, Dan was as an analyst in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch, where he participated in the advisory of leveraged buyouts and capital issuances of REITs and REOCs totaling over $43 billion. He has also held positions working for George Soros, The Princeton Review and Beacon Heights Apartments.
In his free time, he is training to be a New York State-certified Emergency Medical Technician and runs ResuMight, a personalized resume service. Other career paths Dan looks up to/wishes he had pursued include: trauma surgeon, hedge fund analyst and Professor of Sociology at Brandeis University.
Dan graduated cum laude from Brandeis University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Sociology ('02) as well as a Master of Arts degree in International Economics and Finance ('03).
