DESCRIPTION: Career Service is collaborating with other Boston-area business schools to host Judy Shen-Filerman, Principal and Founder of Dreambridge Partners LLC, at Boston College for a networking workshop targeted specifically to international students. This program will be held on June 4 from 10 AM to 1 PM in Fulton Hall 130. This will be an intensive 3-hour program to help students jumpstart networking at year end and to practice the most critical American networking competencies. Given your experience in the internship / job search this year, you recognize that networking is a primary source for internships and jobs.
This workshop will help you build confidence in the following networking activities: • talking about yourself in networking events and in interviews • engaging superiors and senior managers • conversing about business and non-business topics beyond your 30-second pitch.
"Making Networking Work for International Students" will be comprised of short lecture, extensive interactive exercises and case studies. The session will be limited to ten students from Brandeis IBS. The cost will be $30 per student for the three (3) hour workshop and all materials.
Given the involvement of other business school peers, space is limited. If we have more than 10 students who would like to attend, I will start a wait list. Please contact Marcia Katz if you have any questions- AND to offer your ideas for additional topics you would like Judy to address. |
