Stewart Cohen is responsible for Gordon Brothers Group’s disposition, appraisal and business development activities in the Americas where he oversees the structure of larger multi-asset class deals and helps originate transactions across all business units. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group, Mr. Cohen served as Executive Vice President of Special Assets at Textron Financial where he was part of a senior team managing several billion dollars of loan wind downs and asset dispositions, as well as a senior executive at a global asset disposition firm, focusing on corporate acquisition, asset disposition, special situations financing and consulting activities across all industry sectors. Previously, he was Chairman of Polaroid, where he was responsible for the wind down of the film business and its associated assets. He was instrumental in helping start and build two finance companies which, through a series of M&A activities, are now known as Bank of America Retail Finance and Wells Fargo Retail Finance. He also previously served as Director of London Fog Inc., SLI Inc., Team Products, Value Merchants, Harvey Electronics, and Smith & Hawken. Mr. Cohen holds a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
