Coming on the heels of the long-running success of the Global Markets Investment Club’s annual Stock Pitch Challenge, three student organizations are planning a similar event on March 2: the first annual Impact Investment Challenge.
Like its predecessor in the fall, the event will involve teams of students pitching investment proposals to their peers, professors and a panel of financial professionals. The focus for this event, however, will be strictly on green-focused companies.
The event is coordinated by student organizations Net Impact, Global Markets Investment Club and International Business Women. Among the panelists will be Criterion Ventures Managing Director Jackie VanderBrug, Winslow Management founder Jack Robinson, and sustainable investment professional Karin Chamberlain, who serves as programming chair for Boston Women in Finance.
