IBS Joins University Effort to Aid Students Affected by Katrina

All of us at Brandeis and IBS are saddened by the news from New Orleans and the larger region devastated by Hurricane Katrina. As President Reinharz announced, Brandeis will grant 'special student' status to students enrolled at universities affected by the storm, and IBS is participating in this initiative for graduate students in MBA programs and in master's and Ph.D. level programs in economics and finance. IBS is offering access to all of its classes on a space available basis. Please contact our Assistant Dean for Admissions, Holly Chase (781-736-4829) for further information. For current information on the University's overall response to the crisis and links on how individuals can help, see www.brandeis.edu.

Dean Peter A. Petri also welcomes suggestions on how IBS specifically might provide further support to those affected.
