Brandeis hosted its first event in China at the end of November at the home of Roberta Lipson ’76 in Beijing.  Nearly 40 alumni and students attended the networking event "Brandeis and Business: Beijing and Beyond."  Lipson, Co-founder and CEO of Chindex International, Inc., spoke movingly about her years at Brandeis and the encouragement she received to pursue a business career in Asia at a time when few were choosing that path.  In addition, Tony Chang PhD ’83,  made a special visit from Hong Kong to talk about his passion for Brandeis and the need to support the university’s scholarship program.  Similar gatherings for alumni are being discussed for Shanghai and Hong Kong in the coming year.
