Two papers written by Brandeis IBS faculty recently were selected out of 640 submissions to be given Outstanding Research Awards at a recent conference affiliated with the Eastern Finance Association. 

Jens Hilscher and Elif Sisli-Ciamarra earned an award for "Outstanding Paper in Corporate Finance" for their paper "Conflicts of interest on corporate boards: The effect of creditor-directors on acquisitions." 

Jens Hilscher and Alon Raviv earned an award for "Outstanding Paper in Financial Institutions" for their paper "Bank stability and market discipline: The effect of contingent capital on risk taking and default probability."
