Dean Bruce R. Magid visited Paris recently to meet with alums from IBS and from the Université Paris Dauphine dual degree program. While there, he also met with members of the French diplomatic and business community including representatives from the U.S. Embassy, American University in Paris, U.S. Commercial Service, various financial institutions and the American Chamber of Commerce.

A highlight of the trip was a reception held at Cercle Interallié for Brandeis Alumni, prospective students, parents and other friends of Brandeis. The reception was hosted by S.E. Jean-Daniel Tordjman - Ambassador aux Poles de Competitivite.
Dean Magid was gratified to learn that so many of the alums felt they had a rewarding experience at IBS which prepared them well for the jobs they hold in a variety of fields. These graduates want to remain highly engaged with IBS. With over 200 Brandeis alumni in France and the growing significance of the country as a financial services hub in Europe, plans are underway to set up an IBS alumni association in Paris.
