To give you a taste of what the International Business School is about, the following videos were made early in the Fall semester of 2005. Interviews with our students introduce you to the dynamic, global environment at the School and give an insight into teaching methods used by the faculty.

Entrepreneurship - Supporting Creative Energy
civ_pic At a ceremony marking the dedication of the Asper Center for Global Entrepreneurship, IBS gave its 2006 Asper Award to members of the Firaxis team, creators of the best-selling Civilization computer strategy game.

IBS's commitment to the encouragement of entrepreneurship worldwide is reflected both in its curriculum and in activities at the School.

Careers - Preparing for the Job Market
career_pic In February 2006, IBS held its annual Career Fair, bringing together students with a wide range of employers. The previous month, students had the opportunity to network with alumni at a reception held at a New York City hotel.

In the video, students speak about the career preparation given at the International Business School and about the resources they are offered to find the jobs that will best match their aspirations and skill sets.

A Visitor to IBS - President Klaus of the Czech Republic
career_pic On September 23, 2005, the International Business School was honored by a visit from President Václav Klaus of the Czech Republic. In the video, IBS students give their impressions of the visit and talk about its direct relevance to their studies.

President Klaus is one of many leading figures who have shared their experiences and wisdom with our students. Connectedness to the world of business and policy is an integral part of an education at IBS.

Orientation - The Beer Game
beer_pic Professor Brad Morrison welcomes students to the School at orientation and explains The Beer Game, an interactive exercise that simulates some of the challenges of managing complex operations.

The simulation encourages first year students to think about how they learn and orients them to business issues they will explore during their IBS education.

First Class - Case Study Method
case_pic Professor Ben Gomes-Casseres, Director of the MBA Program, introduces students to the Case Study Method, which forms the basis of many courses at the International Business School.

The video highlights how the method increases a student's business perspective and aids in developing the skills necessary to succeed in the global business environment.
