The Steven M. Bunson ’82 Internship Awards
Every year, several summer internships are awarded to students involved in organizations looking to make an impact in finance and society.
Through the Bunson program, Rafaella Cuff, MA ’12 (third from left) received funding to go to Brazil to do development work for the microcredit organization ProWorld, where she managed loans for multiple clients ranging from street vendors to restaurant owners.The Perlmutter Corporate Internship Awards
Every year, several summer internship opportunities are provided for students interested in making their mark in local, national, and international business.
Through the Perlmutter program, Yaniv Jember, MA ’12 and Shuyan Wu, MA ’12 (pictured) interned at the Accenture Institute for High Performance, an international consulting firm in Boston. Jember analyzed and conducted interviews with international business leaders to explore the leadership skills required for companies to go global, while Wu developed a methodology for mapping the supply and demand for talent in growing industries like business analytics. Entrepreneurial-minded students at Brandeis IBS are encouraged to apply for a special opportunity from the school for seed funding to help grow their business ideas.
2013 Asper recipient Archana KC, MBA ’13 (left) spent the summer building a new enterprise that found her taking a three-week trip to Nepal to meet with local farmers. Her company, Kunda Organics, aims to process organic spices in a way that benefits farmers, who currently sell the raw spices to processing plants for a small fraction of what the products demand on the open market.

Students are also able to apply for funding for independent and original economic research thanks to the Rosenberg Institute for Global Finance.
