Millennium Development Goals Working Group

The student organization Positive Foundations decided to team up with the Programs in Sustainable International Development (SID) at the Heller School to form a new working group at Brandeis. Heller graduate students would share their expertise and experience with Positive Foundations, an undergraduate student group committed to advocating for the Millennium Development Goals to end poverty by 2015. Heller students would develop their mentoring skills while working with the undergraduate leaders of Positive Foundations to increase the effectiveness of their initiatives and bring vital cultural understanding to their work.

Although this group's members were unable to begin their initiative, the goals of the project continue through the Brandeis chapter of Positive Foundations, whose members are focused on eradicating extreme poverty through fund raising, education, and political advocacy.
