IISER Partnership
Prof. Bulbul Chakraborty will explore a partnership with the new Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in India. Partnership possibilities include setting up a research study abroad program at IISER for Brandeis students and designing a summer internship program located at Brandeis for IISER students.
Final report: The aim of this project was to lay the foundation of a long-term, sustainable academic relationship between Brandeis and a new academic institution in India, the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Kolkata. I visited IISER, Kolkata in April 2008, and discussed plans for setting up a study abroad program and a Brandeis internship program for IISER students. The study abroad program is under review and an internship program is being investigated.
