  • June 15: Decision for fall term
  • Oct. 15: Decision for spring term

Apply for Admission

Graduate Professional Studies offers open-course enrollment, which allows students to register for individual courses before applying for admission and matriculating in a graduate certificate or master's degree program. Students must apply for admission to a graduate certificate program before completion of their third course and to a master's degree program before completing the fourth course.

Individuals may apply for admission to a credit-bearing, graduate certificate and/or master’s degree program in the following areas:

Programs Offered Both On Campus and Online:

Programs Offered Online Only
(select electives may also be offered on campus)

Programs Offered On Campus Only
(select electives may also be offered online)

The completion of courses as an unmatriculated student does not guarantee acceptance in a program, nor does it guarantee that courses will meet specific degree requirements. Individuals are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure that all courses completed will meet graduation requirements.

Applicants interested in receiving financial aid must be officially admitted to a program, prior to the start of a term. Only individuals with a completed application file, including all supporting documents, will be considered for admission.

Applicants are also encouraged to consult the GPS Student Handbook for more information and to contact GPS with questions regarding the admissions process, including academic advising, if needed.
