Apply for Admission
Graduate Professional Studies offers open-course enrollment, which allows students to register for individual courses before applying for admission and matriculating in a master's degree program. Students must apply for admission to a master's degree program before completing their second course.
Individuals may apply for admission to a master’s degree program in the following areas:
Programs Offered Online Only
- Health and Medical Informatics
- Information Security
- Virtual Management
- Information Technology Management
- Management of Projects and Programs
- Software Engineering
Program Offered On Campus
(some courses offered online)
- Bioinformatics (GPS anticipates this program may be available solely online by Fall 2013).
The completion of courses as an unmatriculated student does not guarantee acceptance in a program, nor does it guarantee that courses will meet specific degree requirements. Individuals are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure that all courses completed will meet graduation requirements.
Applicants interested in receiving financial aid must be officially admitted to a program, prior to the start of a term. Only individuals with a completed application file, including all supporting documents, will be considered for admission.
Applicants are also encouraged to consult the GPS Student Handbook for more information and to contact GPS with questions regarding the admissions process, including academic advising, if needed.
