NEW: DL Orientation Course for GPS Students

Prepare to learn online with GPS!

Graduate Professional Studies (GPS) now offers a new non-credit, self-directed distance learning (DL) orientation course, available to registered students at no cost.

  • Learn how to navigate a GPS DL course efficiently and comfortably, using LATTE, our learning management system!
  • Apply best practices to increase your online learning success!

The course covers topics such as the GPS DL approach, our standard course structure, LATTE features (our learning management system), online learning techniques, and links to related resources.

NEW DL STUDENTS: We strongly recommend that all students taking their first GPS DL course complete this orientation before the start of the Spring 2011 term, which begins on January 17th.

RETURNING DL STUDENTS: We also encourage students who have taken one or more GPS DL courses in the past to complete this orientation to find helpful instructions and tips on using LATTE features; best practices to increase your online learning success; and access to an Elluminate room where you can experiment with this tool used in many of our courses for synchronous meetings and group work.
