IMPORTANT - Changes to requirements for Masters in Health and Medical Informatics, effective Fall 2012
The Division of Graduate Professional Studies is introducing changes to the program requirements for the Master of Science in Health and Medical Informatics degree. Everyone who applies to the program after March 15, 2012 will follow the new program requirements.
The curricula of all Graduate Professional Studies programs are reviewed regularly by the program chairs, faculty, and industry leaders. Performed generally every two to three years, these program assessments help ensure that our programs and courses remain current, comprehensive, and relevant, adapting as the corresponding industries evolve.
The recent Health and Medical Informatics program review has resulted in several recommendations to strengthen the program and to fill identified gaps in the curriculum. With these changes we will continue to prepare industry professionals who are applying principles of information science to the effective organization, analysis, management, and use of information in health care.
