Windows Communication Foundation Programming with C#
This course provides an in-depth study of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), which is Microsoft’s state-of-the-art service programming model. Topics covered include basic concepts of service oriented architecture and WCF, building, testing, and debugging WCF services, WCF best practices, applying LINQ to Entities to WCF services, securing WCF services, controlling transactions of WCF services and extending WCF services.
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
Create WCF services with or without using Visual Studio WCF templates
Host WCF services in different types’ applications with various protocols
Debug / test WCF services
Adopt WCF service development best practices
Apply LINQ to Entities to WCF services
Setup/configure securities of WCF service
Control transactions of WCF service
Extend WCF services as needed.
