Academic Integrity
Truth Even Unto Its Innermost Parts
The Division of Graduate Professional Studies is committed to upholding the standards of academic excellence of Brandeis University. While academic excellence is comprised of many different aspects, a very important piece is academic integrity and honesty in all student work.
As stated in the Brandeis University Rights and Responsibilities Handbook, “Every member of the University Community is expected to maintain the highest standards of academic honesty. A student shall not receive credit for work that is not the product of the student’s own effort. A student's name on any written exercise constitutes a statement that the work is the result of the student's own thought and study, stated in the students own words, and produced without the assistance of others, except in quotes, footnotes or references with appropriate acknowledgement of the source."

As part of our commitment to achieving a high standard of academic integrity, each student is asked to complete the new Academic Integrity Agreement found in each course's LATTE page. Each student is responsible for completing this agreement, in the form of a short quiz, in each LATTE course in which they are enrolled.
