About the GSA

“Your community, your voice, your advocate.”

Who We Are

The GSA provides a platform for all 2,000+ graduate students to raise issues and concerns. We represent graduate student interests and serve as a link to the faculty and administration. We pride ourselves in supplying excellent student programming by organizing events and activities that enhance graduate student life. We assist and support graduate student organizations, as well as select graduate student representatives to serve on various university committees and boards. We keep graduate students abreast of relevant and essential university on-goings and disseminate information as necessary.

What We Do

The GSA supports the graduate student community through spaces that create a nurturing academic environment, hone professional development, and promote social collaboration. It enriches the graduate student experience through the following activities, events, and services:

  • Town Hall Meetings
  • Social Gatherings
  • Recreational Trips
  • Travel and Research Grants
  • Graduate Students Clubs
  • Sponsorship of Educational Activities
  • Initiatives to Improve Graduate Student Life

How to Join

The GSA senate members make important decisions on bettering the lives of graduate students. We gather once a month to discuss issues, work on initiatives, as well as gather feedback from the graduate student body. Sign up to join us and to receive emails about upcoming town hall meetings and other fun activities organized by the GSA. Also, you can stay up to date by joining our Facebook Group!
