Application for Graduate Degree Form
Available at the Registrar's Office or online, completed by you and returned to the Office of the Registrar, Kutz Hall, 1st floor. Deadlines are strictly enforced.
Application for Degree Deadlines
- Friday, June 15, 2012 for August 2012 graduation
- Thursday, November 1, 2012 for February 2013 graduation
- Friday, March 1, 2013 for May 2013 graduation
- Friday, June 14, 2013 for August 2013 graduation
Degree Completion Requirements-Master's Candidates
Beginning with students matriculating in 2008, all masters theses completed in fulfillment of the degree must be deposited electronically to the Brandeis Institutional Repository. If your program requires a master's thesis, check with your departmental administrator about guidelines for the submission and formatting of an M.A./M.S. thesis. Please see also GSAS formatting information and deadlines. Master's Candidates completing a thesis must also submit Certification of Master's Thesis Acceptance Form to GSAS. The certification form is due at GSAS one day before the thesis submission deadline.
Degree Completion Requirements-Doctoral Candidates

Dissertation Defense Deadlines
- Wednesday, August 1, 2012 for August 2012 completion
- Friday, December 14, 2012 for February 2013 completion
- Thursday, April 18, 2013 for May 2013 completion
- Thursday, August 1, 2013 for August 2013 completion
