In case of emergency

On campus?
Call 6-3333.

Off campus
Call 911.

Do you have an urgent  health concern that cannot wait until the next business day? Call the on-call health center clinician for advice at (781) 239-1948.

Urgent care is for health needs that cannot wait until the health center is open.

Examples of this include:

  • the possible need for an x-ray
  • urinary pain with back pain
  • a deep laceration that may need stitches
  • need for IV hydration due to severe vomiting, or unresolved high fevers.

Urgent care should not replace seeing a provider in an ambulatory office setting as it is a more expensive setting intended for more acute health care needs. The Health Center staff will assist with transferring you to urgent or emergency care as needed.

If you do go to the emergency or urgent care centers please let them know you are a Brandeis student and would like a record of your visit sent to the health center so we can provide follow up care.
