Health Center Fee
Brandeis University has established an annual fee to cover part of the cost of health care provided at the Health Center. This is a mandatory fee for all undergraduate students and optional for graduate students. This fee is not to be confused with the cost of the Qualifying Student Health Insurance Plan.
The Health Center does not offer fee-for-service medical care. No extra fees are charged for medical or nursing care. The University will not be responsible for health care expenses that are not part of the Health Center services or covered by the student health insurance.
Brandeis also has a Summer Health Fee for graduate students who do not pay the Health Service fee during the academic year. This fee covers visits to the Health Center during the Summer.
The following costs are the responsibility of the student if not covered by their own insurance.
- Consultation without prior authorization from the Health Center for Qualifying Student Health Insurance Plan (QSHIP) or in the case of private or family insurance, authorizations from their primary care provider.
- Laboratory tests
- X-rays
- Dental care
