Student Health Center

Access to Health Services

All students enrolled 3/4 or full-time in degree-granting programs who report their insurance to the school annually (through University Health Plans) will have access to health services.

At the request of Brandeis University, we are in the process of implementing billing of health insurance plans to offset costs for our services. Students will not need to bring any cash to access services as co-payments will be paid out of student fees. We do not balance bill for the direct care received at Brandeis Health Center as our costs are offset by student fees. However, any services sent to outside providers — such as labs or pharmacies — will be charged to your insurance and you will be responsible to those providers for uncovered costs.

To maximize the time of our nurse practitioners and medical doctors, visits are by appointment.

Same-day appointments are usually available for acute- or urgent-care needs. Call 781-736-3677 or visit the Health Center (Golding-Stoneman, next to Public Safety) to schedule your appointment.

If you have concerns about confidentiality, bring them up during your visit with your provider. We value your confidentiality and make every effort to assure confidential health access through the Health Center.
