Senior Assistant Director of Career Development

Northeastern University | MS College Student Development & Counseling
Amherst College | BA Law, Jurisprudence & Social Thought

“Have fun while getting stuff done,” is Jackie’s personal and professional motto.  Her keen eye for detail and talent for developing process and structure make her a great fit to oversee a number of Hiatt programs including the World of Work (WOW) internship funding program, the Hiatt Advisor peer counseling program, Wisdom Wanted, and Alumni Interview Coaching.  She also co-hosts the office’s bi-weekly Facebook Live show, #HiattLive, which blurs the lines between entertainment and career education to engage audiences in unique and fun ways.  Jackie and Kristin Menconi, her co-star extraordinaire, were nominated for a NACE Award in 2017 for this innovative approach.

Prior to coming to Brandeis in 2009, Jackie worked in many areas of higher education including admissions, financial aid, student activities and career services. Jackie graduated from Amherst College in 2004 with a BA in Law, Jurisprudence & Social Thought and received an MS in College Student Development & Counseling from Northeastern University in 2008.

She aspires to be a novice interior designer and/or celebrity chef.  She loves all things BravoTV, spends way too much money at Target and boasts numerous pub trivia wins.  Her first seven jobs were:

1.      Curatorial intern at a historical society

2.      Juvenile court intern

3.      College tour guide

4.      Admissions & financial aid counselor

5.      Student activities intern

6.      Ann Taylor sales associate

7.      Career counselor
