Recruiting Guidelines for Employer Partners
As noted in the National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE) Principles for Professional Conduct:
Employers are expected to
- work within a framework of professionally accepted recruiting, interviewing, and selection techniques.
- refrain from any practice that improperly influences and affects job acceptances. Such practices may include undue time pressure for acceptance of employment offers and encouragement of revocation of another employment offer. Employers will strive to communicate decisions to candidates within the agreed-upon time frame.
- Comply with all equal employment (EEO) standards.
- In an effort to maintain records, Hiatt requests that employers notify the Center when offers are accepted by Brandeis students.
On-campus interviews
The goal of our on-campus interview program is to provide candidates with the opportunity to consider and be considered for multiple opportunities. Hiatt believes that a reasonable amount of time to evaluate several offers may be necessary in order that students make informed decisions.
