Ideas for collaborations

What We Can Do?

Speak at department meetings and programs

  • We would welcome the opportunity to speak about the Hiatt Career Center and answer questions about what we do and how we work with students from their first year to their senior year and beyond

Speak in Classes /Work with the UDR’s on special programs or panel

  • We are often invited to come speak to a class or have the class come to the Hiatt Center in USDAN. We are able to speak with students about career decisions related to their studies (graduate school options, glide year, career paths) and can help identify recent alumni to speak to your students.
  • When you have to be away from the university, don't cancel class! The Hiatt Center would love the opportunity to talk about careers for that major, resume and interview skills, or just about the center.

Work with you to collect data on your alumni

  • Hiatt collects information on our graduating seniors during Senior Sign Out days in May and then again six months afterwards through our graduation survey. We realize that many of our students keep in contact with faculty and working together to collect the best possible data is welcomes

What You Can Do ?

  • Participate in Career Service programs, suggest new programs and/or  serve on Career Panels. Hiatt collaborates with many student organizations to offer programs specific to a particular course of study. Students enjoy hearing from their faculty members outside of the classroom. Please let us know if you would be available to participate in one of our programs.

  • Suggest alumni and other contacts for Hiatt to reach out to who may be interested in speaking with students about their career paths, or developing internship sites with or students.

  • Meet with employers interested in hiring our students
  • Employers often request to meet with key faculty in our departments at Brandeis. If you would be interested in meeting with industry representatives please let us know and we will contact you when someone is coming to campus.

Encourage your students to utilize Hiatt

  • Please suggest that your students visit the Hiatt website, or make an appointment to have their resume critiqued or meet with a counselor to talk about career options. If you want to make a specific referral for one of your students contact your Hiatt department liaison or call the main office.
