Internship Course Syllabi

Internship faculty supervisors assist students as they integrate traditional, academic learning with real-world learning, while assessing the learning outcomes via academic assignments that directly relate to the content of the discipline and the internship.

  • Designing an effective syllabus that maximizes student learning is essential for all internship seminars (89a/b)
  • For independent internships (92a/b or 93a), faculty will want to create a learning agreement with the student.  This will be either a 92a/b or 93 Add form from the Registrar's Office.  Before beginning the Add Form, you may wish to view a sample learning agreement that guides the student's internship experience by outlining expected learning goals and assessment methodologies.

Below you will find syllabi from actual internship courses. All documents are in the Portable Document Format (pdf) unless otherwise noted.  Many thanks to the faculty who have generously agreed to post their work in order to assist others.
