Selected Federal Agencies
This list of selected federal agencies can help you get started in your exploration of federal options. They represent a cross-section of top agencies with which your Brandeis education is a great match.
REMEMBER:
- BROAD SPECTRUM OF WORK - While individual agencies have a focus such as security, agriculture, budget, or the military, the range of jobs within each is broad. For example, USAID hires regional analysts, the Department of Energy values the skills of economists, the State Department seeks computer scientists, and the Library of Congress employs fine arts majors.
- AGENCY WEBSITES HAVE THE MOST UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION - You can search for individual jobs and internships on the U.S. government's listings at USAjobs.gov. However, researching each agency's website provides more extensive information on its mission and goals, activities, initiatives, special projects and structure, in addition to work opportunities.
- THINK CREATIVELY - Imagine possibilities to pursue your field of interest at over 170 federal agencies!
