Do you plan to intern, work or live in New York City this summer or after graduation? Will you be in the "Big Apple" over Winter Break because you call it home or you are attending the CIC fair?

If so, please join us for a special alumni-student networking night at Brandeis House in New York. Moderated by Josh Gondelman '07, comedian, writer and co-creator of @SeinfeldToday, the evening begins with a panel featuring four funny Brandeis alumni who will use humor to talk about their experiences as young professionals living and working in New York. Our panelists span a range of interests and industries, from patent law to stand-up comedy, but all of them are making it in the Big Apple. Panelists include:

  • Josh Louis Simon '07, owner, Spinach Pie Productions
  • David Klasko '07, actor, writer
  • Julie Albert '08, law clerk, Baker Botts
  • Jenna Scherer '06, associate editor, Time Out New York

Following the panel, network with the panelists and other New York-based young alumni to learn about their career paths, companies and what life is really like after Brandeis. Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet and connect with young professionals who are living and working in YOUR city at a fun, laid back event!

Refreshments will be provided. Professional dress is strongly encouraged.

Wisdom Wanted
Wisdom Wanted ads are specific requests for alumni career advice that Hiatt sends to our alumni e-mail list monthly. Students can write ads seeking advice on a variety of topics, from grad school applications to job opportunities in a specific field. When alumni want to respond to your ad, they will contact you directly via email. To submit an ad, you must have a LinkedIn profile, complete Hiatt's networking requirements and fill out this online form. Submit your ad by December 15th to be included in this winter's e-newsletter to alumni volunteers.

Brandeis University Career Connections on LinkedIn
The Hiatt Career Center moderates a professional networking group on LinkedIn for Brandeis students and alumni called Brandeis University Career Connections. By joining this group, you gain access to an extended community of Brandeis alumni who want to support you in achieving your career goals by offering advice, meeting with you for informational interviews, and answering the discussion questions you post. To join our group, you must have a LinkedIn profile, complete Hiatt’s networking requirements and request to join the group.
