Directions to campus are available online. As you enter the campus, proceed to the left. You can park in the Hassenfeld lot or the Theater (T) lot. Please note that parking passes are not required for this event as we are working with Public Safety to have an area blocked for guests. The event will take place in Sherman Hall located in the Hassenfeld Conference Center and there will be a student there to greet you when you arrive.
Students and Alumni:
This year’s new fair connects and provides an outlet for students, faculty, staff and, alumni to explore service and volunteer opportunities. You may even have the opportunity to interview on-site directly following the fair. The breadth of opportunities range from volunteer internships, one time volunteering, group volunteering, special projects, and post-graduation Year in Service programs. We acknowledge that the timetable for this event is during the typical class day and lunch schedule and therefore will be providing healthy Kosher, vegetarian, and vegan snacks and beverages.
This year two signature events are merging to provide a one-stop service for our community. The Community Service Fair and Year in Service Forum are partnering to “put the pieces together for today, tomorrow, and after graduation.” Participants will have the opportunity to explore how they can volunteer today, develop a skill set and reflect upon their service tomorrow, and perhaps join the 20% of Brandeis alum who dedicate themselves to a Year in Service post-graduation. The fair will provide an outlet to learn how you can explore yourself by investing your time into the service of others.
Do you currently volunteer at Brandeis? Are you looking to do something different? Come and network with a variety of professionals from organizations that address poverty, public health discrepancies, the education gap, environmental sustainability, and who support youth and families, immigrants, elderly and many others.
Are you looking to make new friends, come and meet student leaders of the Waltham Group and see how you can take on a leadership role within this organization?
Are you considering a Year in Service program after graduation? This fair will open your eyes to the variety of opportunities here in Boston, throughout the US, and around the globe. Come learn what qualifications employers are looking for and how you can volunteer this year to expand your resume and knowledge.
Are you hoping to deepen your connection and demonstrate your interest in Year in Service programs or volunteer opportunities? Several organizations will be hosting on-site informational and screening interviews directly after the fair. Stop by the organization’s table during the fair and sign to meet with a recruiter or community partner.
