Shadowing Experience & Alumni Networking:

For Students

General info:

Application:

Contacting your Sponsor:

Overview:

  • This is a chance to visit and interact with a professional during ONE business day.
  • Sometimes, shadowing is not possible, in which case you will network in other ways (we'll teach you how).
  • You will get valuable career advice and start/grow your professional network.
  • This is not a paid experience, nor should you expect a job or an internship to materialize at the end. Instead, our alumni are volunteering their knowledge and expertise to help you learn ins and outs of a particular field.
  • You can apply for the Shadowing Experience as many times as you wish during your time at Brandeis.
  • During the Pre-departure workshop, you will also learn how to contact Brandeis alumni on your own and continue networking.
  • Study this handout for a list of expectations of the Experience, and questions you might want to ask your Sponsor.
  • Learn more about Shadowing Learning Outcomes here.
