- International Volunteer Programs Association is a search site for international opportunities.
- GoAbroad.com has listings for work, internships, and volunteering.
- Monster Global Gateway has jobs by country.
- The Riley Guide (use the A-Z keyword index for industry- and location-specific resources).
- Transitions Abroad has extensive information on working abroad; be sure to check out Transitions Abroad Magazine (now only available online) which has excellent stories, tips, and resources.

Business
- The Directory of American Firms Operating in Foreign Countries and the Directory of Foreign Firms with Representation in the United States are invaluable research books to find businesses in your host country and enterprises from your home country abroad—available in Goldfarb Library.
- Federation of International Trade Associations offers links to a wide range of useful directories of international businesses.
- U.S. Chambers of Commerce international pages have information about members, trade and business issues around the world.
English as a Second Language
- Dave’s ESL Café contains English-language teaching opportunities.

- NIRA offers a World Directory of Think Tanks.
- United States Institute of Peace lists International Organizations and Research Centers in International Relations.
Museums
- The International Council of Museums (ICOM) and the American Association of Museums (AAM) list museums, resources and jobs.
- Museum Stuff has job listings as well as lists of hundreds of museums around the world.
NGO’s
- The Directory of Development Organizations is an extensive country-specific listing of organizations related to all aspects of political, social and economic welfare.
- Interaction is an umbrella group of 160 NGO’s working around the world on a wide range of social, political and economic issues. Research organizations and find volunteer opportunities.
- World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (WANGO) is a clearinghouse for NGO’s around the world (sort by country).

- Literary Marketplace is an international directory of the publishing business.

- The American Association for the Advancement of Science offers information about issues, members and jobs on the AAAS and Science's Next Wave Web sites.

- AIESEC is an international organization of students with global interests.
- American Friends Service Committee offers service, development, social justice and peace programs worldwide.
- American Jewish World Service has summer volunteer opportunities in South Asia, Central America and Africa.
- The Carter Center provides information on careers and internships with the Center.
- The Center for Economic and Policy Research has jobs and internship announcements.
