Print this list and refer it it throughout your year.
1. ____Take TypeFocus Careers complete all sections
2. ____Make a one hour self assessment review appointment with Dr Abigail Crine at Hiatt 781-736-3618
3. ____Use other resources on campus, such as academic advising, orientation leaders, CA’s for academic and social guidance
4. ____Draft a resume using guidelines for resumes on website. Stop by Hiatt during Quick Questions or Hiatt advisor hours for resume critique and/or approval
5. ___ Join clubs & activities that interest you. Apply for leadership positions.
6. ___ Make connections with professors in classes that interest you. Get good grades.
7. ___ Collect data on your reactions to/impressions of things and ideas. Keep reactions in a journal Include your likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, dreams, hopes and heroes.
8.___ Seek out opportunities to get closer to areas of interest: through shadowing and informational interviewing
9.___ Get a summer job. This does not need to be an internship yet. Just good experience.
