Applying to Genesis

Application Deadlines:

Genesis is now accepting applications on a rolling basis until the program is full.

Admissions Decisions:

Admissions decisions will be sent by email no more than three weeks after your complete application is received.

If you have questions about the application process, we welcome your call or e-mail. We cannot, however, share the admissions decision via telephone or e-mail.

Application Requirements:

A complete application to Genesis consists of:

• Two online forms (Participant Application and Participant Information)
• Two written personal responses
• Academic high school teacher reference
• Personal reference from a rabbi, coach, or other extracurricular advisor
• Parent/guardian reference
• High school transcript
• $40 application fee

Apply to Genesis:

Click here to begin the application with the Participant Application Form.  This form will prompt you to create a login for our online application system using a parent email address. Parents and the Genesis applicant will need to use this login information to complete the Genesis application - please choose a password that you both can remember. Please note, that on page five of the online form you will be asked for payment information - this refers to the method that you are choosing to pay the $40 application fee.

When you login, you will be able to access all of the Genesis application materials. Please log into the system and click on "Forms and Documents." There, on your Forms Dashboard, you will see all of the required and optional application materials. You will also be able to check when we receive pieces of your application. Please note that some parts of the application, such as the parent reference and personal responses, require you to fill out forms directly into the system. Some parts, such as the optional financial aid forms, require you to submit additional materials.

Tuition

Genesis tuition is $5,600. Tuition for every participant is significantly subsidized by generous donors; the full cost per participant is $6,200; we hope that families who are able to pay the full cost will elect to contribute the additional $600.

The tuition covers all costs during the program including instruction, food, housing, field trips, and recreational activities. Tuition does NOT cover travel costs from your hometown to Boston or international student visa costs. Families are expected to pay these costs separately on their own.
