Writing and Unholy Redemption:
Acclaimed Israeli Author Michal Govrin
OCTOBER 26, 2011—Michal Govrin, author of Hold On to the Sun, is one of Israel's most important writers. Selected in 2010 by the Salon du Livre of Paris as one of the most influential writers of the past thirty years, she has published ten works of poetry, fiction, and essays. Hold on to the Sun is a kaleidoscope of stories and essays; the haunting stories capture the depths of denial and the exuberance of youth, raising an image of a world utterly different from the one we know. The program included a reading from Hold on to the Sun by Govrin and an opportunity for book signing.
