Brandeis E-Learning
Set the stage for your personal development at a time and place that suits you. Brandeis online courseware allows you to explore your career path with 24-7 access to the information you need to commence your job growth. Brandeis e-Learning content gives you access to great topics, including desktop training like Microsoft Office, Adobe and Netscape as well as leadership and management skills like mentoring, communication techniques and team building. Your e-Learning program provides you with a wide range of flexible learning opportunities so that you can continually gain new skills and knowledge. Managing at Brandeis New-Manager Training
This 12-week, cohort-based, training program is designed to prepare new supervisors and managers at Brandeis University for core responsibilities in managing, directing and influencing employees and resources to ensure credible, competent and effective leadership in executing the Brandeis mission. The program will run every other year for a semester and meet at the Stony Brook Training Center on Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Those interested managers who have been either appointed or hired in the past 24 months should contact the Training & Organizational Development Office at ext. 6-4460 or by e-mail at mmcnama@brandeis.edu for more information on enrollment.
Experienced Management at Brandeis Senior-Manager Training
This 12-week cohort-based training program is designed to develop advanced-level management and strategic skills to ensure credible, competent and effective leadership in executing the Brandeis mission. The program will run every other year and meet at the Stony Brook Training Center on Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Those interested senior managers who have been in a managerial position for at least three years should contact the Training & Organizational Development Office at ext. 6-4460 or by e-mail at mmcnama@brandeis.edu for more information on enrollment.
Leading at Brandeis Strategic Leadership Development Program
This yearlong cohort-based training program is designed to enhance and develop a strong Brandeis leadership team aligned to the strategic needs of the university. Additionally, the program will develop flexible, creative and strategic thinkers who anticipate and manage successful change at Brandeis; ensure the stewardship of the Brandeis mission; build organizational-level leadership awareness; and create a cross-functional group of peers who serve as resources to each other and the university. The program will run every other year from May to May and meet once a month from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at various locations across the university. The program is designed for assistant vice presidents, assistant deans, associate vice presidents, associate deans, senior directors and directors. Additional Professional Development Opportunities
The Boston Consortium: Brandeis University employees are eligible to take professional-development workshops sponsored by The Boston Consortium (TBC), a nonprofit organization whose members include 13 area higher education institutions. The cost of TBC workshops is paid by the Human Resources Department. Employees who wish to enroll in TBC programs should contact the Training & Professional Development office for more information.
