Nicholas A. WarrenNick

Chief Investment Officer

Nicholas A. Warren joined the Office of Investments at Brandeis University in January 2011. Nicholas was previously a managing director with Cambridge Associates, having joined in 2003. Prior to that he worked as an investment analyst at Northwestern University's Investment Office.

Nicholas received a B.A. in Anthropology from Northwestern University in 1996 and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 2003. He became a CFA® charterholder in 2000.

Nicholas serves on the board of the Nellie Mae Education Foundation.


Christopher J. LenoxChris

Director of Investments

Christopher Lenox joined the Office of Investments at Brandeis University in 2012. As Director of Investments, he focuses on domestic equity, international equity, hedge funds, and various private equity strategies. He also assists with global asset allocation reviews. Christopher previously was an investment officer at the Princeton University Investment Company (PRINCO) where he focused on marketable securities. Christopher previously worked at Millgate Capital, an international equity long/short fund manager, where he was a partner and generalist on its investment team. Between college and business school he worked at Goldman Sachs for 5 years, most recently as an associate in the Principal Strategies group.

Christopher received a B.S. degree in Economics from Duke University in 1999 and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. He serves on the investment committee of Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS).


Deborah ShufrinDeb

Director of Investments

Deborah Shufrin joined the Office of Investments at Brandeis University in 2011. As Director of Investments, she is responsible for evaluating investments on behalf of the university’s endowment. Deborah has a background in both investment analysis and economic development. She previously served as a director and mezzanine analyst at Hancock Capital Management, vice president and equity analyst at MFS Investment Management, and credit analyst at Morgan Stanley. Most recently Deborah served as senior vice president at The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, an economic development research organization founded by Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter to drive private sector investment into businesses in distressed urban areas. As a member of Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s economic development cabinet she led several agencies responsible for business development, small business and entrepreneurship, women and minority-owned businesses and international trade for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Deborah has served on numerous boards including the Massachusetts Technology Development Corporation (now Mass Ventures), the Massachusetts Community Development Finance Corporation, and the Brandeis University Alumni Association.

Deborah graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University and has an M.B.A. from The Wharton School.



Pamela ReganPam

Director of Operations

Pamela Regan joined the Office of Investments at Brandeis University in 2007. As Director of Investment Operations she is responsible for all operations relative to the university endowment portfolio including cash management, investment performance, and reporting. Pamela monitors investment exposures, liquidity, and risk for the portfolio. Pamela conducts operational due diligence for new and existing investment managers evaluating business operations, compliance, and technology infrastructure of the firm. She has over 30 years of experience in financial information systems, investment accounting and investment operations. Prior to her current position at Brandeis University, Pamela worked for The New England, Keyport Life Insurance Co, and Aviva Life Insurance Co.

Pamela received her B.S. in Accounting from Bentley University in 1981.


Nita PrasadPhoto of Nita Prasad

Associate Director of Investments

Nita Prasad joined the Office of Investments at Brandeis University in 2016. As Associate Director of Investments, she evaluates investments on behalf of the university's endowment across several asset classes, with particular emphasis on credit, venture capital, and selected hedge fund strategies. Prior to Brandeis, Nita interned at Harvard Management Company within its public equities group. She also served as a senior researcher at Harvard Business School, where she worked with Professor Noam Wasserman on his second book. Between college and business school, Nita worked at media private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson as well as its portfolio company, Tranzact, for six years.

Nita received a B.S. in Economics with honors from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She serves on the board of trustees of Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, the largest yoga and wellness center in the United States.

Courtney DolanCourtney

Operations Analyst

Courtney Dolan joined the Office of Investments at Brandeis University in October 2014. As an operations analyst she is responsible for all operations relative to the university endowment portfolio including cash management, investment performance, and reporting. Courtney monitors investment exposures, liquidity, and risk for the portfolio. She has previously worked for BNY Mellon as a portfolio accountant and a senior data analyst.

Courtney graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Management in 2009 with a B.S. in Business Administration.

Sarah Mooren

Investment Analyst

Sarah Mooren joined the Office of Investments at Brandeis University in July 2014. As an investment analyst, Sarah works directly with the Chief Investment Officer and Directors of Investments. She assists in evaluating current and prospective investments, as well as conducting research on new opportunities. She provides additional support for operations along with her investment duties.

Sarah graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Economics in 2014.
