Do I Have to File Massachusetts Income Taxes?

If your gross income for the 2013 calendar year was more than $8,000, whether received from sources inside or outside of Massachusetts, you will be required to file Massachusetts income taxes. If you resided in another state during the 2013 calendar year, you must check with that state to determine the income tax filing requirements.

NOTE: State income taxes should NOT be mailed with your Federal tax forms. Each state will have its own separate filing location. Check the state income tax form instructions for correct mailing address to send the completed forms.

Are you Fascinated by the Middle East? Do you Have a Strong Position on Nuclear Weapons?

The Brandeis International Journal, together with the Wien International Scholarship Program, cordially invites you to join us for a roundtable discussion on the Middle East and Nuclear Weapons on Thursday, March 6, 3:30-5pm, in the Geller Room in Hassenfeld Center (Upper Sherman). The discussion will be led by Professor Jonathan Snow, a post doctoral researcher at the Crown Center for Middle East Studies and a lecturer in the department of Politics at Brandeis University. Light refreshments will be served. Please join us in this conversation!

Participate in Health Center Survey on Brandeis Smoking Policies

The following is being posted on behalf of the Brandeis Health Center:

Should Brandeis be a Smoke(Less) Campus? Colleges Against Cancer and the Brandeis Health Center are concerned about the effects of primary and second hand smoke on health. We request your confidential participation in a brief survey to help estimate tobacco use rates, second hand smoke issues, and attitudes toward Brandeis smoking policies. This survey is quick (less than 3 minutes.) The results will be used to inform Colleges Against Cancer’s actions regarding attempting to institute a smoke(Less) campus policy at Brandeis, as well as the Health Centers' FREE programming for smoking cessation (call 781-736-3693 for more information). Thank you for your time and input! Following the link to the survey infers consent to participate. Please constact Diana Denning at the health center with any questions or concerns.
