Optional Summer JBS Housing

Please visit the Department of Community Living's website for information about living on campus during the summer. If you choose to live on-campus during the summer, you will be required to take a 15-meals per week meal plan.

Please note: JBS students are not required to live on campus during the summer if you participate in a JBS.  Many students find summer sublet apartments in Waltham to be a very affordable alternative.

Living Off-Campus

A wealth of off-campus housing (meaning any property not owned or operated by the university) is available to you in the Waltham community surrounding Brandeis. Off-campus housing options can encompass everything from shared houses to apartments to individually rented rooms in houses or apartments.  Many students find summer sublets or off-campus rentals to be very affordable due to the decrease in demand during the summer months.

While the Department of Community Living does not function as a real estate office or show you specific rental units, the Department of Community Living's website has a section about living off campus and offers several tips and resources to help you with your off-campus housing search.
