The collapse of communism in Eastern Europe unleashed antisemitism
in the former Soviet bloc and led to the first massive exodus of Jews
since survivors of World War II fled Europe after 1945. Despite increasing
incidents of violent skinhead racism and right wing politicians fomenting
prejudice, many emigrated to Germany, now the site of the fastest growing
Jewish population outside of Israel.
Filmmaker and author Peter Laufer invited.
