FEDERAL AND STATE
NCJF receives funds from the National Endowment for the Arts/American Film Institute Preservation Program to assist with preservation of nitrate materials. In 1984, the National Endowment for the Humanities awarded NCJF a Challenge Grant. Over the past two decades, the Massachusetts Cultural Council has provided significant support through its Operational Support (formerly Merit Aid) program.
FOUNDATIONS AND CORPORATIONS
NCJF receives considerable support from friends in the film industry, including Sony Pictures Entertainment, Loews Theaters, Orion Pictures, Universal Studios, the Louis B. Mayer Foundation, Films Incorporated, IFEX and Swank Motion Pictures. Recently, significant grants have been received from the Coca-Cola Company, the Natan Cummings Foundation, the Koret Foundation of San Francisco, the Ronald S, Lauder Foundation, the National Foundation for Jewish Culture, the S.H. and Helen R. Scheuer Family Foundation, the Goethe Institute, the Righteous Persons Foundation, the Lucius N. Littauer Foundation and the Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Foundation, Inc.
INDIVIDUALS
Invaluable support and help has been provided by numerous individuals, including Edith and Henry Everett, Rita and Stanley H. EARNED INCOME
Fund raising events featuring restored prints from the collection are held in collaboration with local organizations. Income generated from film rentals, videotape sales and licensing of footage rights provides NCJF with important dollars to fulfill its mission to preserve the motion picture records of the Jewish experience.
