Andy Warhol's
"Ten Portraits of Jews"
Andy Warhol’s “Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century” (1980) is being exhibited in its entirety for the first time on the Brandeis University campus. The showing commemorates the 150th birthday of Louis D. Brandeis and celebrates the Feldman family’s recent donation of Warhol’s original “Louis Brandeis” (1980) painting to the Rose Art Museum. Warhol’s subjects for the series were Louis D. Brandeis, Sarah Bernhardt, Martin Buber, Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, the Marx Brothers, Golda Meir, George Gershwin, Franz Kafka and Gertrude Stein.
