The Samuel Gridley Howe Library is the repository for past issues of Disability Studies Quarterly.

Disability Studies Quarterly is published for the Society for Disability Studies. The Quarterly is a multidisciplinary and international journal of interest to social scientists, scholars in the humanities, disability rights advocates, and others concerned with the problems of people with disabilities. The purpose of the Quarterly is to provide a place where people from diverse backgrounds can share ideas and to engage in dialogues that cut across disciplinary backgrounds and substantive concerns. The Quarterly is committed to developing theoretical and practical knowledge about disability and to promoting the full and equal participation of persons with disabilities in society.


I.    Back Issues

Past issues of Disability Studies Quarterly are available for $10.00 each issue, or for $300 (volumes 1-20, four issues per volume), first class postage included in prices for US only.  Additional charges for mailing outside the US.   **Orders from the UK or EU countries can pay in UK Pounds or Euro dollars.

**Issues of DSQ are devoted to a primary topic, while the Winter issues of each volume are on general disability issues.

DSQ is always on the look out for contributions to the Quarterly.  Please contact DSQ with your articles (Click Here).


III.    Subscriptions:

Disability Studies Quarterly is published four times a year. Each volume is the same as a calendar year. The Quarterly is produced for the Society for Disability Studies and the subscription price for the Quarterly is included in the dues for the Society. All subscription correspondence must be sent to the national office of the Society: Society for Disability Studies, c/o Professor Carol Gill, Department of Disability and Human Development, University of Illinois at Chicago (MC 626), 1640 Roosevelt Road #236, Chicago, IL 60608-6904.
