Philanthropist Bobby Sager was featured in a Boston Globe story that discussed his financial support for the Dalai Lama’s landmark Science for Monks program, a 13-year-old initiative that incorporates the study of modern science into traditional monastic teachings and Buddhist philosophy. Sager’s new book, “Beyond the Robe,” looks at Science for Monks and explores how the unique perspective of Tibetan Buddhist monks could offer a large contribution to the human race.

In Beijing, Roberta Lipson ’76, CEO of Chindex International and board chair of United Family Hospitals and Clinics, gave a talk, “Entrepreneurial Opportunity in China: One Brandeis Graduate’s Journey in Health Care,” to more than 30 Brandeis alumni and friends.
