Julie Fisher and husband Daniel Shapiro ’91, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, were profiled in a story in Haaretz. In the story, headlined “Modern family in the U.S. ambassador’s residence,” Julie talks about putting her own high-profile career as an educator on hold when her husband accepted one of the most important diplomatic posts in the U.S. government. Jeffrey Greenbaum is managing partner at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz in New York City, practicing advertising law. He also chairs the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance. Kimberly MacMillan joined Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries as vice president of human resources. President Barack Obama nominated Jeffrey Murawsky to serve as under secretary for health in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Jeffrey has served as network director of the Veterans Integrated Service Networks since 2009. He is also associate professor of medicine at Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine. Miri Forster was promoted to principal at Rothstein Kass, where she heads the law firm’s national tax controversy practice. Sheryl Axelrod published an article in Diversity & the Bar magazine titled “Disregard Diversity at Your Financial Peril: Diversity as a Financial Competitive Advantage,” a topic that was subsequently picked up and explored further by the national press. Sheryl founded the Axelrod Firm and is a diversity fellow at the American Bar Association.
